Early Years Education focused Inspection (EYEI)

In May of this year an Inspector from the Department of Education and Skills carried out a detailed ‘Early-Years Education-focused Inspection (EYEI) at our pre-school. This is a new initiative being carried out by the Department and focuses on the processes and practices relating to children’s learning and development.  This month the findings of the inspection were published for public viewing.  We are quite proud of the findings in relation to our pre-school and delighted to see our efforts in providing a quality service being acknowledged in this way.  Thank you Lorraine, Frankie and Clare for your hard work and dedication.

The report can be viewed at: http://www.education.ie/en/Publications/Inspection-Reports-Publications/Early-Years-Education-Reports/.  Further information on the inspection process can be found on http://www.education.ie/en/Publications/Inspection-Reports-Publications/Evaluation-Reports-Guidelines/A-Guide-to-Early-years-Education-focused-Inspection-EYEI-in-Early-years-Settings-Participating-ECCE-Programme.pdf .
